Hello! I can't say that I have too much to update you all on. The Junior Ring weekend went very well, but it was a lot of work! I'm happy it's over, but it was lot's of fun :-) This is my last week of classes which is very nice. I'm anxious to finish finals and come home! I am quite excited for christmas and to see everyone. Miss you all a bunch!!!!

24 Hours Is Not Enough Time In The Day!

The First (and only so far...) Snow!

Greeting all! I hope you had a wonderful turkey holiday in which you gained ten pounds and spent time with your "eclectic" families. I certainly did...I even got to spend numerous hours listening to my great aunt Betty tell dirty jokes that were absolutely amazing! Unfortunately now Thanksgiving is over though, and I am back to school. While I still love Skidmore as much as I have in previous posts, classes right now are very stressful as we prepare for end of the year projects and final exams! I am excited to report that I have my schedule for next semester; I will be taking 16 credits, and my classes are the next levels of Chemistry and Calculus as well as Introduction to Business and Management, and Introduction to Neuroscience! I am very excited for all of these classes, and for the fact that my classes start a little later in the morning than they did this semester :-) I am very excited to come home for Christmas to see my lovely family, friends, and teachers! Hope all is well on your front, and I look forward to hearing from you all around the holiday.
Love always, Emmeline

Chugging Along

Nothing too exciting has happened as of late other than I still am doing well in my classes! Tonight I am going to dinner at my Professor's house- He is a very nice man, and I am excited to have a home cooked meal :-) I am getting very anxious for Thanksgiving, my family, the sunshine, and the beautiful palm trees in San Diego!!! I went to see Harry Potter 7 at midnight last night and it was EXCELLENT though a tad frightening. I hope all is well on the homefront.

The Tribulations Part

Me, Christine (from CO-she went to CA), Gab, and Emma Jumping in Leaves!
While College is an exciting thing it is also about training you to be an adult. Sometimes that means making mistakes and I think that is something I have now become familiar with. While I can't say that I am happy that I made pretty poor choices over the weekend, I can definitely say that I am happy to have such an understanding and concerned family. I can also report that my lesson is more than learned...trust me.

My entire weekend wasn't too terrible though. Saturday, my friends and I went to the Dowtown Saratoga Fall Festival. It was pretty adorable- there were children in costumes everywhere and lot's of fun activities for them to enjoy. There was a petting zoo, and I am happy to report that I was able to pet the bunnies for as long as I wanted too! We had crepes for lunch in town, and recieved many compliments on our cowgirl apparel.

This week is going to be calm. My classes are all going very well, and I really enjoy my professors. I am excited for Thanksgiving, and cannot wait to have some real Mexican food...New Yorker's have no idea what Mexican food even entails. I hope you all are well :-)

Winter, Fall, Fall, Winter

Bros!

In Colorado we complain about the weather being indecisive, but take my word that New York is worse! Monday, it was 35 degrees and raining. Tuesday, it was 68 degrees and sunny. Today, it is 48 degrees and cloudy with a light sprinkle. I never know how to dress for the weather and it is driving me insane!!! Other than the crazy weather, all has been okay. I have had a non-stop headache that is a bit frustrating, but I keep drinking water so hopefully that will help.

Pancakes Babyfoot Taylor- The Bunny!

My weekend was pretty eventful! Friday we had no classes so my roommate, Gab, and I went to the mall! Their was a super adorable bunny that I almost purchased, but unfortunately I can't keep a bunny in a triple :-( My other roommate's girlfriend was in town over the weekend so Gab and I got to have two sleepovers at some of our friends dorms which was pretty exciting! We also went to a costume party...I was a football bro!!!! This week has been pretty tame so far. I have just been chugging along in classes since midterms are finished. I am very excited for Halloween, and soon after...THANKSGIVING!!!!

Back to Reality

Mom and the Other Mothers!

Parents weekend was a blast! Mom and I went to the Tang Art Museum, attended a lecture on the song "Strawberry Fields" by the Beatles, ate, ate, and ate some more! We went to a Southern restaurant called "Hattie's" and wow...the BEST fried chicken I have ever had. We got to hug eachother, spend quality time together, and of course make a target run! We also saw the movie "Secretariat." It was very well done and inspirational. Unfortunately, like all good things, parents weekend did have to come to an end. Now, I am back to school work and preparing for my Theatre midterm, ugh! Classes are canceled on Friday though, so that's something to look forward too! Winter is beginning to creep its way in to Saratoga. While there is no snow on the ground, it is still frigid cold! The scarves, mittens, and hats will be out very soon. I am looking forward to the warm weather of California for Thanksgiving!!!! I hope all is well on the homefront :-)

Hump Day, Hump Day, Will You Please Go Away?

Last Week in DHall, When The Food Was Superb!
Obviously today is hump day, and man is it difficult to get through. I feel like I have non-stop class on Wednesdays, and to make it worse I have a midterm for my seminar class tomorrow! I am feeling very prepared, however I am getting together a study group tonight to talk about the different things we've worked on in class. On a more positive note, I scored very high on my most recent Chemistry exam and I had a Calculus exam at 8am this morning that I I believe I did very well on!
Food in DHall has been pretty terrible this week...nothing too flavorful or exciting, but there were pumpkin muffins yesterday. I'm getting excited for Mom to come- TWO MORE DAYS!
Love always, Emmeline
